SOOOO BIG SOOOO FAST

We will start off with Carter James- he has taken off this past week. He crawls like a snail- meaning his body pops up on all fours then pops forward, ever so often he will put one knee in front of the other. He also likes to crab walk instead of crawl. Carter has started pulling up on everything- we had to lower the crib this weekend. He pulls up and stands and then tries to figure out what to do next- that is usually when a little crash takes place, but that will probably not last too long. He gets around pretty fast and is exploring new places in the house he has never been. Patrick and I both had looks of awe and amazement and puzzles on our face this weekend- where did our baby go? He's getting longer and leaner, but we still call him the bruiser. Still, after months of slobber, no teeth yet. Carter is gobbling up his food good and started puffs and cheerios.

Cooper- well his looks are ever so changing, he seems so grown up. His hair is longer and more tame and groomed, his face shape is maturing. One thing to mention on growing stages is that we are on day 11 of no ree-ree (pacifier) at all, not even to sleep. His Jeffrey Giraffe and dinosaur sleep with him instead.

This past weekend we went to our first BBQ of the summer at the Arnsdorffs and took the boys to the pool for the first time this season. Carter enjoyed the water but not the float so much. Cooper had absolutely NO FEAR. He jumped off the side in to Patrick's arms and then with no prompting he jumped in with no one standing to catch him. He had on swimmies/floaties and just bobbed up and down (he has never worn them before and we thought this woud be a fight so we put them on at home to get warmed up). What a sport. We tried a kick board but he wanted to surf on it so swim lessons are definitely in order or this summer will be full of scares for me. The past two summer's, Cooper has refused a hat when outdoors but when he saw Carter with one on he wanted one immediately- it was adorable that he had one on. He kept saying hat Mom hat Mom.

I have knee arthroscopy this week to see if we can find out why I am still in discomfort and can not jog without pain or walk around all day without being miserable at the end of it. I will be out of commission Wednesday and Thursday. Please pray Dr. Holtzclaw will find the answer.

That video of Carter is too darn cute, I love the little noises that come out of his mouth! He's crawling pretty well!
