BumpBump and Doc's Weekend

Well Cooper attended his first year of summer VBS (something I never once attended growing for many reasons we all might understand). He went with his friend Sadie Grace and had a blast.

Then BumpBump (aka Paula or Mom or Memama- however you might refer to her) had been asking to take Cooper for a weekend and give us a weekend with Carter before he was not a baby anymore. So Thursday night Patrick did the half way drop off in Macon and the weekend began. I think he had an absolute blast and was just a great big boy. I can not wait to hear all the stories. He took to Carl's ("pops" renamed "Docs" by Cooper) electric guitar and helped feed the fish and got to go out to their favorite restaurants. They had all their family over Saturday and Cooper got to show off for everyone and hang out. From what I gather though, he missed his goo-goo so much and it was apparent when he got home Sunday afternoon.

We had an amazing weekend with Carter. He had his 9 month check-up this past week and weighed in just under 18lbs. His visit was perfect, even no shots that day. This really is probably one of the last real "baby" updates of him there will be, soon it is all big boy stuff. I seriously can not believe it, and I am trying to treasure this as long as I can. The house was nice and quiet and Carter was free to roam and not be tackled and have all the attention in the world. Life was VERY different this weekend with just a baby to worry about; free to venture and do many things we are limited in with an excited 2 year old all the time. Let's say we ate out at many restaurants as a special treat and got lots of R&R. Carter is so different and quiet compared to Big Coop at that age. There were times that we really did not know what to do with ourselves, quite amusing to us parents.

Oh and how could I forget- we came to the decision that if Cooper was big enough to go visit Grandma than he was big enough for a "big boy bed". So he came home to his new toddler bed and was so excited- he immediately tucked himself in and said "nite nite" for about an hour. This could be great for him or this could be a disaster, we'll just have to wait for the outcome (there is a gate outside of his bedroom door now, haha).
