So, Saturday Cooper Carter and I went downtown to meet cousin Molly and her boyfriend (now fiance) Matt, who I had not had the chance to meet over the past few years, that had come to Savannah for a mini-vacation before Law School was back in session. It was a regular Saturday morning, we all got ready and made it in one piece out the door a little after 11. We arrive and find a great parking spot and Molly walks over to meet us.....little did she know that before I could even greet her with a hug I was warning her not to come to the back of the car where I was changing Carter and asking her to run down to the baby Gap on Broughton street to get him a new outfit so he did not have to be naked the entire day. Thanks Molly for saving that catastrophe (of course, I usually keep a change of clothes in the diaper bag but of course had taken it out). OK- now we are all settled both boys content in the double stroller on a beautiful afternoon. We all head to eat lunch at a local Burger place. Um I really don't know how to describe Cooper's behavior except by saying aaahhhhh!!!!!! All the stories of Cooper being such a good eater and such a good sweet boy went down the drain. Somehow, we did manage to eat our delicious lunches while the madness occurred. I can not even imagine what the young, half-a-day engaged, couple were thinking by time we made it out of the restaurant. Thanks for being good sports.
Needless to say the days with 2 under 2 can be seamless or can be just like the day described- the only way to keep smiling is to run your hands over the top of your head and let out a huge sighing "whew" as you prepare for the next day. Hey, out-to-eat lunch Sunday as a family was a 180. Laughter is the best policy........right?!

Haha- we really did have a lot of fun! I'm so glad we got to see you and the boys for a little while!
yes...laughter is the best medicine! i remember my first outing w/2 kids too! whew...that's all i can say! miss you!
Oh I've so been there so many times! Today at the mall a woman walked by my double stroller and said "god bless you!" I may look crazy to some people with Logan trying to get out of the stroller, throwing anything he can get his hands on, while I am nursing Austin who hates to have a blanket over him - but I couldn't imagine it any othe way.
