For Labor Day weekend, the family hopped in the car and drove down to Tampa to visit our friends, The Johnson Family. We had not seen Sophia in nearly a year and she and Cooper were eager to play together and figure each other out while Carter just tagged along. Us adults had a lot of fun too! The long weekend consisted of College Football Excitement, Football Letdowns, a beach day and lots of food. I have been itching to get to a Gulf Coast Beach so this was my chance for Summer 09. It was worth the trip! Though I think Cata and I are in the boat, we love the beach and all the stuff you have to take for the kids and all the sand... it is well worth it, but our husbands are just along for the ride to make us happy and enjoy a few minutes of it. Oh, and to tell us how much work it is just to go to the beach. I was saying this to my Grandmother the other day and I hope it does not come back to haunt me. There are definitely times that I think if there were a hidden camera filming our little excursions it would be funny, because we would be able to enjoy those moments in hinesight- I think- a bit more than when they are taking place.
Catalina has started her own photography business and we had the privilege of being her subjects during parts of the weekend, that is always fun! The rest of the time was pretty much spent making sure Cooper and Sophia did not cause havoc. What truly wonderful friends we have that welcomed our last minute trip!
(If you click on the name "Pigtails Photography" to the right of this under our blogger friends you can see some of the shots Cata beautifully captured of us during our visit)

The following weekend I called in my Mom and Grandma for support, companionship and back-up. Patrick had been gone and was not going to be home til the end of the weekend and I was exhausted come mid-week. Us ladies did our favorite thing together since I was a little girl....OUTLET SHOPPING. We drove to Hilton Head and shopped fall clothes for Cooper. Thankfully, there were play cars that took all your quarters and grassy areas to keep the boys and Great Grandma entertained while I ran from store-to-store. Oh and I can not go on without mentioning that as we were in a clothing store and I was asking Cooper if he liked this or that, he un buckled from the stroller, stripped off his clothes and began trying on clothes and removing the tags. Thankfully, almost all the items were intended to be purchased. There were a few things I snuck back on the racks.
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was just one random day when Carter crawled in to the dishwasher- he climbs in/on everything.

oh the dishwasher...I have to unload the dishwasher as fast as I can pull out and put away. If not Austin is inside playing with sharp objects.
