So many times, we have made comments about as they grow they get this little Independence streak and no one can help them. Well sometimes the events that take place, when our babies/toddlers want to show us just how independent they are, can not go untold. Last night I was giving Cooper a snack- but only what he asked for of course, or it was melt-down time. I put the bag of chips (baked) on the table and pulled a handful out and set them on the table for him- as I often do. Well no, this was not how he wanted it. So- Cooper picked up the chips one-by-one and placed them back in the bag to then reach back in and pick out one to eat. I was not sure if I should laugh at him or just not say a word (I chose the latter).
This is just one of probably hundreds of incidents when he has to prove he can do and it has to be his way. I just find it incredibly humorous that I have to keep track of a few that stand out. These little power struggles just crack me up inside.......well, and exhaust the heck out of me. Of course, I shared a cute one but believe me there are a multitude that I wish not to share (smile).
